Pressure Redistribution & Relieving Equipment
Since May 2006 it has been my privilege to work alongside my colleagues at Sheffield Equipment Loan Service (SCELS) to develop a service within a service.
We have been providing equipment, developing training programmes and giving support to patients, carers, support workers and health care professionals.
As part of this development you have now got access to a brand new state of the art information system which enables you to look at available pressure reducing / relieving mattresses and cushions (some can be requested independently others will need to be discussed with the Nurse Advisor). You will find on this website new training dates for all levels, the form to request equipment, frequently asked questions (FAQ’s) and a link through to the suppliers who are used by SCELS.
